I grew up in Germany, spent three years of my life in New Zealand, and in 2006 I moved to Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

In July 2005 I sat in a café with a group of people, and the woman sitting next to me mentioned a ‘woman with the four questions, Byron Katie.’  Four questions - I was very curious.  The woman could not remember what the questions were. The conversation shifted to another topic.

A few days later, I found a book by Byron Katie in a bookshop. It was called "Loving What Is - Four Questions that can Change Your Life".  I opened it to see what the questions were.  I was very intrigued.  I bought the book.

I sat down at home with a cup of tea and read about The Work of Byron Katie.  I tried it.  What happened was amazing, radical, and mind-blowing.  My perception of something I had experienced as a problem totally shifted.  In fact, it didn’t feel like my perception of it changed.  It seemed like the world changed, in an unexpected, very subtle way.

At the time I had a very annoying and mean colleague at work.  I applied the four questions to this issue.  The next time I saw her, I thought: “Why is she so nice?  I can’t wait for her to be mean and annoy me! I want to find out if it worked, and if I can be relaxed when she is mean and annoying.”  I waited, and waited.  Eventually it dawned on me that I might never be able to experience her as mean or annoying again.

Since that first time, I have done The Work on a daily basis. I tested it on basically anything that came into my life and looked frightening or upsetting. The results, over and over again, have been awe-inspiring, beautiful, and quite often, fun.

I have completed the extensive facilitator training, and am now a mentor at the Institute for The Work, the only organization licensed to train and certify facilitators of The Work of Byron Katie.

Over the past years, it has been my privilege to facilitate over a hundred clients on numerous issues. I am grateful for this dear journey that you all continue to invite me to.

The Work of Byron Katie to me is a sweet, gentle, fun, kind journey full of surprises. Answering the questions for myself, and witnessing my clients' answers, continues to touch and deeply move me, delight me, and expand my world.

I invite you to it!

Contact me to make an appointment, and experience the power of your own answers to the questions.
